The fire in Blair broke out shortly after 9 p.m. and destroyed about 300 square feet of the family’s home in a single blaze.
The family is now living in a new home.
(Canadian Press)The fire began at a home on the property near 10 Mile and Main St. The blaze was extinguished about a quarter-hour later.
The fire was caused by a power line, according to RCMP.
It was not immediately clear how the fire started.
The Calgary Fire Department was called in to contain the blaze, which is located about a kilometre north of the Blair area.
The family is living in the new home and will be relocated to another home as the fire investigation is completed, according with the Fire Marshal’s Office.
